Population-Growth ControlWorld / US Population Clock

Based on empirical observations, current scientific views estimate world population could stabilize naturally by the year 2025. Scientists note that economic and social development leads women to have less children, as they join the pool of working women and abandon a their traditional role. Yet, these views rely on inductive logic and set open-ended demographic trends taking into account highly unpredictable variables such as human culture. Assuming for example a model of society in which people had more time for their private life, a rebirth of family values with over three children per couple could be imagined and demographic trends revised upwards. The bottom line is, Science should not bet on cultural factors to predict world-population levels in twenty or thirty years time as policies related to demographics take decades to show meaningful changes. A constant higher global demand for goods a first necessity and a shortages of the same will bring continuous sufferings to humanity in a totally meaningless way. Consequently, policies of laisser-faire in the field of demographics must end. States must regulated demographics by law and compensate a loss of inhabitants with higher inflows of immigrants, as set in gw's policy on Population.
