Supposing that the world's population had reached a stable level, for each additional unit of natural resources extracted or exploited, nations would raise by a constant fraction of that unit their per capita standard of living. Therefore, to break the vicious circle that leads to more inequality and destruction of quality of life, Jerry Lee advises states to adopt birth-control policies.
