State of Affairs It is sometimes difficult to appreciate how significant an impact policies may have on quality of life. This section, therefore, provides links to news that result from anti-globwatch policies (A-GP). |
State policies that defy International Laws (A-GP)
Policies that defy international laws because of ego-politics or the interests of one nation above others, are contrary to gw's principles that guarantee global stability and safety. If diplomacy fails, states that implement such policies must be isolated economically, politically and militarily. Read gw's strategy for dealing with rogue states in Containment of Violence and gw's Iran Containment 2009's strategy. See also The Case of Iran in Anti-Nuclear Proliferation policies. Allies occupation of combat zones in Iraq and Afghanistan (A-GP)
As long as troops remain in combat zones in Iraq and Afghanistan, national politics will not reflect the reality on the ground, and peace will be maintained with the use of force. Iraq must partition to express its true specificities, and Afghanistan must stand on its own feet with or without the Talibans so that peace may be brought back to the region. Casualities in Iraq confirmed by the Pentagon from USA today. |
Policies that nourish Pakistan as a world 'Hotspot' of islamization (A-GP)
Western influence on Arabs remains strong and undefined, which reinforces Islamism or Islamic religious nationalism around the world and clashes with human aspirations for peace - see When History Repeats. In this section of State of Affairs, Pakistan is presented as a world hotspot, a result of Western failure in international politics, a center of rampant islamization in the world. It gathers news of the country that undermine the state's stability and ability to control its nuclear arsenal. Jerry Lee likes to remind, that current global islamization cannot be stopped without a commitment from all parties to solve the following underlying issues:

International opposition to national self-determination rights (A-GP)
PKK, IRA, Tamil, HBatasuna or Taliban militants are broadly recognized as terrorists. Authors of terrorist acts must be brougth to justice. However, Jerry Lee defends the rights of people to national self-determination. As such, the feasibility of these rights must be studied openly by international, specialized bodies and under gw's conditions to lower tensions between states and minorities and offer a viable alternative to discriminating and arbitrary unions of people within states. |
When nations misuse the Environment (A-GP)
It is not enough to agree on CO2-emission reductions by lowering the use of fossil-fuel energies, if the latter are compensated by other dangerous non-renewable sources of energy. States must satisfy current needs for energy with safe, renewable sources, and abandon nuclear energy. For example, States could sastisfy a share of electricity needs with solar energy; another share could be satisfied by replacing current oil-fueled vehicles with cell-fuel engines that use pure hydrogen. While pure hydrogen is a zero-emission source of energy, the techniques that produce the fuel must be made more environmentally friendly. Look here for a nuclear map. Scientific denial on problems linked to population-growth (A-GP) Inaction from the United Nations Population Fund and governments, based on the belief that world population will stabilize by itself, causes nations to suffer from constant social, economic and environmental stress and mismanagements. Population growth is no longer acceptable, and must stop worldwide. Population growth must be regulated by law and coupled to immigration flows between the five continents. See GW's policy on Population. Related news in Population-Growth Control |
Maintaining alive a circle of violence in the Irsaelo-Palestinian Conflict (A-GP) The circle of violence can only be broken by working on a peace plan. To expect peace to settle before working on it, is unreasonable. Even with a peace agreement at hand, peace cannot settle on a sheet of paper, it is something that needs time and sacrifices to implement.
