Start-up Bloom Energy can make a major contribution to this world's needs in renewable, clean energies. The issue is nolonger what sort of energy can be used, but how the bloomboxes can be connected to local grids to supply electricity to houses, hospitals and offices around the globe as fast as possible. An answer to that question should include fair financial compensation to businesses hit by the impact of such fundamental technological transitions. Meanwhile, Jerry Lee is troubled by President Obama's acceptance to guarantee with state loans of USD 8.3 bln the construction of two new reactors in Georgia. The plan comes after more than three decades of a moratorium on nuclear energy development. It also disregards electoral promises he made in 2008 to fight for clean, renewable energies. Jerry Lee says it, such financing must be directed in R&D for clean energies and the financing of projects such as those of Bloom Energy as there cannot be double standards on principles involving such values as safety.
